Lawrence Otis Col. Montgomery

Lawrence was an American hero, who retired from the United States Air Force after twenty-seven years. He served in World War II, the Korean War and the Viet Nam War. He took great pride in his country and his sense of duty knew no bounds.

But Lawrence was not a hero because of his military service. Courage and honesty also guided Lawrence's day to day life. He loved and cared for family. He worked hard and earned everything that he had. Lawrence never took anything that was not his and his word was his bond.

Lawrence also had a deep respect for the earth and every animal on it. He loved learning and explored the world. He led a hike from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean, hiked from Georgia to Maine and hiked through the Alps and Himalayan Mountains. Lawrence never met a stranger.

He treated people of all cultures and walks of life with the dignity that they deserve. Colonel Lawrence Montgomery was a loving, decent, honest man who was loved and revered by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Montgomery; his son, Mark Montgomery; his daughter, Karen Coad; grandchildren, Colleen and Austin Montgomery, Tygen Lee Coad II; and great grandson, Tygen Lee Coad III. He is also survived by his son-in-law, Tygen Coad, his brother, Duane Montgomery, his sister-in-law, Elaine Montgomery and his nephew, Stan Montgomery.
