Leif is survived by his wife Sue, with whom he shared 26 peaceful, delightful years.
Leif is the proud father of 13 year old Jamie Bryant Calberg and 22 year old Sarah Jewel Calberg. Leif was also exceptionally fond Sarah's fiancé, Eric Thompson.
Additional survivors include his brother Willis Bill Calberg and his wife Linda of New York, his niece Lisa and her husband Frank of Florida, his nephew Scott, his wife Ginger and their daughter Amanda of New York.
Leif was preceded in death by his mother Virginia Hall Calberg and his father Howard Calberg, both of New England.
At the time of his death, Leif was studying to become a registered massage therapist, an endeavor that challenged his mind and gladdened his heart.
He was employed at Cox Radio, where he was the production director for four radio stations.
Over the past 30 years, Leif had worked at many different local stations, both on and off the air, and he was well-loved by everyone whose life he touched.
Leif was so many wondrous things: a musician, a writer, a woodworker, a tinkerer, a fixer-upper of all sorts.
He freely and openly shared his large heart with all he came across.
His smile and his laugh lit up many rooms over a lifetime of interesting and fun adventures.
He was a terrific friend to many, the best Dad to two, and the most incredible husband to one very blessed woman.
A memorial celebration service off all good, joyful and silly things, songs and incomparable stories will be held Thursday May 12, 2005 at 6:00pm at Aggie Park at 6205 West Avenue.
The service, led by Rudi Harst and the Celebration Circle Singers and the Mighty, Mighty, Circle Band, will be followed by time to sing and play and reminisce.
