

Leo Taylor, age 67, of San Antonio, Texas, died November 9, 2002. He was the President of the Better Business Bureau serving South Central Texas. He served the San Antonio community in this capacity for 32 years after moving to San Antonio from the BBB of Metropolitan Houston. He also served on the Management Committee for the National Council of Better Business Bureaus. He served for a number of years as the Secretary of the City Solicitations Commission for San Antonio. He was an officer and member of the San Antonio Advertising Federation for over 20 years and was a recipient of the Silver Medallist Award. He was a member of the IBM-Ring 18, The Texas Association of Magicians and the International Brotherhood of Magicians-Order of Merlin, the San Antonio Philatelic Association and the Bell Unit for the National Association of Parliamentarians. He also mentored high school students for Parliamentary Contest Training and was associated with a number of other associations and activities. He touched the lives of thousands in the community in a positive way and was always there for his community, friends and first and foremost, his family. He was a very loving and giving husband, father and grandfather. Leo is survived by his wife, Verna Dean Taylor of San Antonio, TX; daughters, Misty Krohn and husband Steve of Rockport, TX, DiAnne Taylor and husband Weldon Herchek; sons, David Taylor, Steven Taylor, Richard Taylor and wife Tina; granddaughter, Jaycee Taylor; grandsons, Eric Jacobs and Nick Jacobs, all of San Antonio, TX; mother and step-father, Ruby and Arthur Keepers of Cleveland, TX; sister, Debbie Barnes of Spring, TX.
