Leonardo Z. Cerda

Leonardo Zertuche Cerda passed away on Monday, June 7, 2021 at the age of 83 in San Antonio, Texas. Born on November 6, 1937, he is preceded in death by his parents, Anastacio Cerda and Isabel Zertuche Cerda; his beloved wife, Evelyn Marie McKinley Cerda; and his brothers, Raymond Cerda and Gilbert Cerda.

Leonardo is survived by his children, Charlie W. Cerda, Leonard Cerda Jr., Cheryl Neal (Charles), Art Cerda (Wendy) and Alicia Cerda; his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his siblings, Armando Cerda, Artemio Cerda, Guadalupe Moreno and Mary Helen Cerda; and his extended family and friends who love him and miss him dearly.

Due to restrictions on public gatherings, the Visitation at Trevino Funeral Home – 226 Cupples Road 78237 – will be limited to 100 people at a time, and the Funeral Mass at St. Clare Catholic Church – 7701 Somerset Road 78211 – will be limited to 10 people. Face coverings will be required to be worn at all times.

The family will be receiving friends on Thursday, June 17 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. On Friday, June 18, a Funeral Procession will depart from the funeral home at 9:15 AM and arrive at St. Clare Catholic Church for the Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. The Burial will follow at San Fernando Cemetery III – 1735 Cupples Road 78226.
