

Lesley Dawn Kippes fought a short but courageous battle against Leukemia. She left her world of pain on Friday, August 31, 2007 and joined her grandparents, aunt, friends, and former patients in Heaven. Lesley was born in Brownwood, Texas on July 5, 1969. Lesley had God given gifts of humor, love, and compassion, and will survive in our hearts and minds eternally. Lesley is survived by her life partner, Tammy Edwards, and their children, Megan and Makaela Kippes of Castroville, followed by her parents, Connie and Duane Kippes of Ft. Stockton; her sister, Jennifer Heath of Midland; her aunt Sharon Dougherty of San Angelo; her uncle Lonnie Evans of Lubbock, and many cousins. In addition, Lesley is survived by her extended family, Bob Moyer, Irene Carbajal, Lisa Lopez, Dr. VanWinkle, HEB friends, San Angelo Friends, Brazoria County friends, doctors and peers from the Metropolitan Professional Building and the medical staff at the Methodist Hospital. Lesley will lie instate Monday, September 3rd from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 3rd from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. all at Porter Loring on 2102 North Loop 1604 East at Gold Canyon Road. Memorial Services will be announced in Wednesday's edition. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Lesley Kippes' name to the Leukemia Foundation to further stem cell and bone marrow research.
