Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”Matthew 11:28-30 NIV
It is with broken hearts that we make the announcement of our dear mother’s passing. She passed away peacefully after a short illness surrounded by her devoted children. She lived an exemplary life of unselfish love and devotion to her husband and children. A mother of nine, her life was dedicated to the health and happiness of her family. She found the supernatural strength through her faith in God to pick up the pieces of her life and ours after the death of her husband. She was a woman of towering strength and unwavering faith, a superior example to her children and all of our many extended family members.
After 39 long years she joins our father on his birthday for their short slumber until Jesus comes back. Together at long last.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Ramiro A. Delgado Sr., sons Armando, and Ernesto, son Daniel has been missing since 1982.
She is survived by her sons Ramiro Jr. (Diana), Ricardo, and Joseph R., daughters Lucila De Salame (William), Leonor Hodges (Patrick), and Maria Pelayo (Rupert). Grandchildren Joseph Anthony and Edward Garcia, Evon Delgado, Melissa Lenore and Michelle Gabrielle Wantuchowicz (Adam Abrego), Cynthia Joann and Rebecca Ann Delgado, Jacquelin Marie, (Stephen Celis), Jennifer Anne, and Caroline Elizabeth Hodges, Jasmin Marie and Sara Lilia Pelayo.
