With joyful hearts, we celebrate the beautiful life of Linda Joy McNeill. A sweet, loving devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend; “Nanny”. Nanny went to Heaven at the age of 84, April 4, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born on December 29, 1940, in Brownwood, TX, Linda was a vibrant spirit who filled our lives with love and laughter and had an unwavering faith in God and Jesus.
She was the heart of our family, known for her selflessness and kindness. Her home was a haven of joy, where she delighted in serving her loved ones and creating cherished memories. From the thrill of Easter hunts and the joy of decorating for the holidays to the warmth of family game nights, she infused every moment with her infectious spirit.
Her love for puzzles and antiques reflected her curious mind and appreciation for beauty, while her fondness for garage sales brought her joy as she discovered hidden treasures. Linda had a flair for decorating her new house, always adding a touch of sparkle with her beloved bling lamps and chandeliers and brightening her space with sunflowers that mirrored her sunny disposition.
Her greatest joy was simply being with her family. Weekend trips with Rhonda and Gina were adventures filled with fun and laughter and she loved every moment we spent together. Playful squirt gun fights, building forts in hotels, or engaging in epic treasure hunts and hide-and-seek at the park; she loved creating magical experiences that will forever be etched in the hearts of her Grandsons.
Her generous spirit was evident in her willingness to help others, always putting her family and friends first. Our mother was our prayer warrior with a direct line to God that guided us through life’s challenges. Her faith and devotion were a source of strength for all of us, reminding us to cherish each moment and love one another deeply.
She is survived by her beloved family; Rhonda McNeill (Daughter), Dan McNeill (Son), Megan McNeill (Daughter-in-law), Gina Emery (Daughter), Todd Emery (Son-in-law).
