Linda D Rutherford

She is preceded in passing by her parents, Rusk and Dorothy Blasingame, and her sister, Patricia Anders.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Daniel Rutherford; children, Tyler Rutherford, Cassandra Rutherford, and Rebecca Trapp; and her grandchildren, Stephen Rutherford, Laurel Paige Scott, and Rusk Trapp.

Linda had an avid love for horses, her family’s ranch in East Texas, fishing and hunting with her dad, children, and grandchildren. She was active in many civic projects such as the Southtown Mainstreet Alliance and the King William Fair. Her crowning accomplishment was rising from a step-on tour guide to Vice President to a local convention hospitality company. Besides being a gourmet cook, she was a surrogate mother to many of her children’s friends and her heart and home were always open.

The family has elected to choose a private service. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Meals on Wheels, Salvation Army, or the charity of your choice.
