

Lois Wilson Ritch Hilton was born February 27, 1923 in Charlotte, NC and went to be with her Lord and her beloved husband, Charles Dwight Hilton, on October 28, 2017. Before World War II started, she met Dwight at Myrtle Beach, SC while she was in high school and he was attending The Citadel. While Dwight was overseas, Lois graduated from Duke University in three years earning the National Phi Beta Recognition. The day she graduated, Lois married at the Duke Chapel in the afternoon. Lois worked at Queens College in Charlotte and Trinity University after moving to San Antonio in 1961. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church for fifty-six years. She was very active there for many years, and valued her membership in the Hidden Forest Garden Club, Needlework Guild, and China Painting Club. Lois was a beloved wife, daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, Lois Wilson and Marvin Ritch; and her sister, Hazel Brown. She is survived by her daughters, Susan Parrish (Dan) and Beverly Hilton; sister, Ann Brantley (Paul); grandchildren, Chip Parrish (Jennifer), Brette Parrish (Christy), and Kelly Parrish Walker (Beau); great-grandchildren, Parker, Ryland, Peyton, Easton, Teagan, Brooklyn, and Palmer; and special nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held November 1 at 10:30 AM at Christ Episcopal Church 510 Belknap Place San Antonio, Texas. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a cause of your choice.
