

Lois Thelma Morgan was born on October 4, 1927 in Fayetteville, N.C. The Lord called her home on November 24, 2013, she was the second of six children born to the late Fred and Carrie McDonald.
Lois accepted Christ at an early age, in the late 1960's she moved to Texas. Shortly after her arrival, she joined Tried Stone Baptist Church. She held many positions at Tried Stone including President of the Women's Mission Auxiliary, President and member of the choir. She worked diligently in the food ministry, and was always willing to work in the church, wherever she saw a need she tried to help.
She attended public schools in the Fayetteville area, after graduating from high school she attended the college at N.C. Central in North Carolina. She received her bachelor's in early education. Lois taught for 27 years in the South San Independent School District, and retired in 1995 from Neil Armstrong Elementary.
In December 1953, Lois and Vernal Morgan were united in Holy Matrimony and to the union three children were born, Deltricia Morgan-Williams, Angela J. Holmes and Marvin E. Morgan all of San Antonio, TX.
Her husband, parents and four siblings preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Deltrice Morgan-Williams, Angela Holmes; son, Marvin Morgan; one son-in-law, Daryl T. Holmes; daughter-in-law, Karen Morgan; two granddaughters, Amber T. Holmes, and Ashleigh S. Morgan; three grandsons, Derek C. Morgan, Jonathan A. Holmes, and Sterling M. Holmes; sisters-in-law, Carlos B. Foster and Clarice McDonald; and one brother, Douglas McDonald; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. She will be missed greatly, gone but never forgotten.
Visitation will be on Friday, November 29, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Porter Loring Mortuary.
