

Lorenza Barbosa passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, resilience, and devotion that will be cherished by all who knew her.
She is lovingly survived by her children: Rosalinda Rojas and her husband Jose Luis, Ester Torres, Andres Barbosa III, Martha Larson, and Anita Barbosa. Lorenza was a proud grandmother to 20 grandchildren and a devoted great-grandmother to 14 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life. She is also survived by her brother, Roy Islas.
Lorenza was preceded in death by her beloved granddaughter, Kathryn Riccomini; her son-in-law, David Valdez; and her siblings, Alvira, Lina, Isabel, Elvira, Eliseo, and Raul.
Lorenza found great happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She enjoyed gardening and dancing, often bringing light and laughter wherever she went. She was especially known for her love of making tamales, a tradition she shared with family and friends. Her creative spirit shone through her beautiful embroidery work on blankets and pillowcases, which will remain treasured keepsakes for generations.
Her kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
