Lorraine L. Jackson, born on October 25, 1925 in New Orleans, LA was called home to be with our Lord on September 20, 2013 at the age of 87. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Charlesia Pratts and her 5 siblings and granddaughter Stephanie. Lorraine is loved and will be missed by her children: Yvonne (Michael) Powell, Shelley Daugherty, Belinda (Nerva) Hercule, and Sylvia (Demetrius) Donseroux, her grandchildren: Nichole, Jevon, Matthew, Nathan, Shanelle, Stephen, Islande, David, Nyrva, WoodJerry, Jocelem; great granddaughter Kaitlyn and a host of friends and family. The family would like to say a special “Thank You” to the staff of Regent Care Medical Center and Odyssey Hospice for the love and care they showed our mother. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A procession will depart the funeral home Thursday, September 26, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. mass of resurrection at St. John Berchmans Catholic Church with entombment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
