

Lou Ann Korndorffer Masters, 66, of San Antonio, Texas passed away peacefully on July 26, 2023. Her interment took place on August 16, 2023.
Lou Ann was born at Ladd Air Force Base in Fairbanks, Alaska to Walter and Sarann Korndorffer on December 6, 1956. She graduated from Sam Houston High in San Antonio and from Texas State University in San Marcos. She married Glen L. Masters on March 14, 1992, in San Antonio. She worked as a lifelong civil servant in various positions until she retired from the Social Security Administration. She was involved with both Weimaraner and Shar Pei Rescues by rescuing numerous dogs throughout the years.
Lou Ann Masters is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Sarann Korndorffer; her eldest brother, Walter Korndorffer, Jr.; her husband, Glen Master; and her brother-in-law, Jerry Guinn. All family members are buried at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
Lou Ann is survived by her brother Gary Korndorffer (wife, Sandra); her sister, Jo Ann Guinn; her sister-in-law, Linda Korndorffer (widow of Walter Korndorffer, Jr.); her nephews, Brandon Korndorffer (wife, Carmen), Jason Guinn (wife, Maggie), and Cody Korndorffer; and her niece Katie Korndorffer Schott (husband J.P.) She has numerous Grand Nephews and Grand Nieces.
At Lou Ann’s request, there was no visitation nor funeral services. Attended by her dearest friend, Julie Schlein, a private burial was held at Sunset Memorial Park on August 16. Sunset Funeral Home made the arrangements. Lou Ann was interred with the ashes of her favorite dog, Laila, a Shar Pei.
