
Louis Oran Broussard, age 94, went home to his Lord on Friday, October 25, 2013 in San Antonio, Texas. Louis was born on August 22, 1919 in Lafayette, Louisiana to Neotis and Nita Marie Broussard. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in Skagway, Alaska, where he received a presidential citation for working 90 straight hours to keep the train tracks clear for troop movement. He was a devoted member of St. Rose of Lima parish for the past 18 years. Louis is preceded in death by his parents and brother N.J. Broussard. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 69 years, Jean Broussard, daughter and son-in-law, Nita and Ronald Wilkes of Corpus Christi, Texas; daughter Edna Martin of Pearland, Texas; granddaughters Jenny and Todd Abbott of Dallas, Texas; Jaime and Michael Guerra of Houston, Texas; and great grandchildren, Audrey, Kate and Jack Abbott, and Macey and Addison Guerra, as well as nephews and nieces.
