

Loving husband and devoted father, Louis Hart McCormick, Jr. of San Antonio, died on August 12, 2016 at the age of 91. Hart was a lifelong resident of San Antonio, a graduate of Central Catholic High School and St Mary's University. He served with the US Army Air Corps during WWII as a radio operator. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, 3 air medals, 3 campaign stars, the European and Pacific Theater ribbons and completed over 1200 combat hours.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Anna Louise McCormick; their 5 children, Louis Hart McCormick and his wife Gale, Peggy Drake and her husband Mike, Dottie Zimmermann and her husband David, Michael McCormick and his wife Kim, Kevin McCormick and his wife Julia; 12 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.
For over 35 years, he was an independent real-estate broker and Property Management Broker with the Veteran's Administration. He served as National Commander and Texas Commander of the China Burma India Association and was on the Executive Board of the Distinguished Flying Cross Association. He was President of San Antonio Financial Services Association, President of the Castle Hills Optimist Club and President of the Junior Chamber of Commerce. He was an active member of the Burma Star Association, the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign War. After retirement, he loved bowling, cards, fishing trips to Canada and the annual family reunion in Galveston. All who knew him will miss his sense of humor and his kind heart. He was so loved by his family and touched many people in his life time.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, August 15, 2016, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
