Louisa Navaira Castro passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2013 at the age of 89, surrounded by family. She was a lifetime member of the women’s Aux VFW Post 8936. Louisa was married for 66 years, 9 months, and 20 days to Henry R. Castro. She is survived by her loving husband Henry Sr., two sons: Henry Jr. (Teresa), Jacob (Virginia), six granddaughters, one grandson, three great granddaughters, eight great grandsons, two great great- granddaughters, and three great great-grandsons. The family would like to thank the Bluebonnet staff from Air Force Village Rehabilitation Center and Rebecca and Michelle from Res Care Home Healthcare Services and also Andres from Hospice. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home Thursday, October 24,2013 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at St. John Berchmans Catholic Church with interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
