Dear Roger,  I thought I had posted a message earlier. You have been in our thoughts & orayers,  It was such a shock and great sadness that we learned of Lovie's passing.  She was such a special lady and dear friend. It was more special to know our childhood connection.  We so enjoyed our times together,  If we ever make it back to Texas, you may be sure we will look you up.  It is comfortin to know Lovie is watching over us with her wings & halo.  Glad she won't have any pain any more

I was so saddened to read of Lovie Jean's passing.  We went to school together as well as working at Friedrich's together.  I always looked forward to seeing her at our Highlands' reunions.  I also got to visit with her and the other Friedrich girls at lunch a couple of times a few years back.  Always a smile and always such a sweet person -- Lovie Jean! Sincere condolences to my former CWB/SAWS co-worker Roger Haller, on the loss of his beloved wife Lovie.

Oh, Roger, we are so very sorry to hear your sad news.  We were so shocked as we didn't know Lovie had been ill.  Having grown up in the Air Force, I have had many friends of different durations across the U.S.  Some lifetime long and others lasting only a few months or years.  Jim and I cherish our time with you and Lovie on our Northwest trip, and our subsequent trips to San Antonio.  We so appreciated all of your hospitality on these SA trips; and we regret we didn't have more time to spend with y'all.  Lovie was such a dear, sweet person & a great friend – beautiful on the outside and the inside.  Lovie and I were surprised to learn that we had attended the same Methodist Church as girls as my Mother and I lived in San Antonio when Daddy was deployed during World War II.  Although Jim is not computer literate, I also enjoyed an email friendship with Lovie.

Naturally distance and our health prevent us from coming for Lovie's services, but you have our deep condolences.  You and Lovie's loved ones will be in our thoughts and prayers now and in the future.

Lovie was so aptly named, she expressed love everywhere she went and was deeply loved in return. Her friends will miss her deeply, and those who missed knowing her will never know what a friendship they have missed.

Sam & I are so very sad right now. Sad for those of us that Lovie has left behind but at the same time happy for her. Happy that she is now walking hand in hand with God, watching over all of us. We want you to know that we are here for you. Any time of day or night.
After speaking with you last night, we sat here remembering the great times we had had with you and Lovie and I can tell you that the best dinner shared with you was when you and Lovie had come to the hospital to pick me up after Sam had his open heart surgery. It was so wonderful to know that I/we had friends here that would always be here for us. I want you to know that we are here for you in the same way.
Please let us know when it's time for us to re-pay that dinner...
