Lucille V. Smith

Lucille V. Smith was called home by the Lord on June 12, 2012 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on March 25, 1930 in Easthampton, Massachusetts. She graduated from Northampton Business College in Northampton, MA. She was married to Carl W. Smith September 18, 1954 and was a career military wife, with duty stations in Italy, Germany, Colorado, and Illinois. She worked in office administration for various employers. She was known as the “Queen of Cards” by her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl William Smith.

Lucille is survived by her four children, Sean Smith of Kensington, MD, Scott Smith of Manassas, VA, Tara Smith of Sacramento, CA, Tim Smith of San Antonio, TX ; seven grandchildren, Liam, Jessica, Connor, TJ, Tiarnan, Lara, and Caroline; sister, Jeanne Blanchard of East Pepperell, MA; brother, Jerry Vanasse of Florence, MA.

Memorial Rosary will be 7:00 P.M, Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Chapel.

Memorial Mass will be 9:30 A.M Friday, June 22, 2012 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 6680 Crestway, San Antonio, TX 78239.

Burial will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.

She is remembered for her unconditional love, humor, and generosity.
