Lupe Juan Avila went to be with the Lord September 1, 2015 at the age of 87. He is preceded in death by his mother Maria Martinez; brothers Eusebio, Frank, Jose, brother in law Aurelio Zavala. Mr. Avila is survived by his daughters Mary Lou, Norma Helen Loera (Jesus); sisters Maria de Jesus Torres, Anita Felan, Dolores Avila, Minerva Robles, Yolanda Manry, Juanita A Zavala, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A visitation will begin, Tuesday, September 8, 2015, 5:00 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A procession will depart the funeral home, Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. for a 9:00 a.m. Mass to be celebrated at St. Jude Catholic Church with interment to follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
