Lupe Marinez

Lupe Marinez, age 66, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025. Born on March 3, 1959, Lupe was a devoted Jehovah’s Witness and a Regular Pioneer, known for her unwavering faith and dedication to preaching from house to house alongside her spiritual brothers and sisters.

Lupe found joy in the simple pleasures of life—cherishing time with her beloved dog, Taken, and her cat, Tuxi. She delighted in dining out, especially savoring pizza and her favorite dish, green enchiladas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Pedro Marinez and Armendia Gariby Marinez; her sister, Pat Marinez Borrego; her younger brother; and her paternal grandmother.

Lupe is survived by her brothers, Pablo Marinez and Pedro Marinez; nieces and nephews, including Alicia, Adriana, and Jacob; great-nieces and great-nephews; her dear friends Mary Helen and Lisa Lopez; and a host of extended family and spiritual brothers and sisters.

The family extends special thanks to Embrace Hospice and her cousin Carlos Salinas for their compassionate care and support.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with The Talk beginning at 7:00 p.m..at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd., San Antonio, TX 78237.

Lupe’s warmth, faith, and love for her community will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
