

Lupita proudly served in the Women's Army Corp (WAC) and graduated with her Masters in counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Lupita was an avid member of St. Helenas Catholic Church where she performed in the choir and was an ACTS member.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Placido and Eva Cortez; brothers, Omar Cortez and Eleazar Cortez. Lupita is survived by her husband, William J. Brown; daughters, Janina N. Molina (Gabriel), Brigitte Brown (Arthur) and Andreia Breaux (James); son, William J. Brown, Jr.; brother, Juan Carlos Cortez (Irma), Placido Cortez, Jr. (Esmeralda); sisters, Rosalinda Galvan (Gilbert), Norma Cortez-Lopez and Gracy Quintanilla (Danny); sister-in-laws, Anita and Odilia Cortez; along with 7 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends for a viewing from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Porter Loring Mortuary, 1101 McCullough San Antonio, Texas.
