Together with her husband Sheldon, she built a house and had many adventures with their children Lee and Sarah, joined by Samheet on Lee's marriage. A kind, generous spirit, gentle and soft as a summer's breeze, she was accepting of all and caring for each. During her 9 years' residence in Europe her gift in language arts and ability to understand foreign cultures allowed her to teach for Mercedes and for SKF.
Returning to Texas she worked as a substitute teacher for NEISD and for NISD. Selfless, and capable of seeing the good in all, she volunteered with Esperanza Peace and Justice Coalition as well as Interim health care.
Lynn appreciated life for it's simple pleasures. She was most at home in the out-of-doors. Laying on a blanket under the stars, watching spiders and beetles, hiking and backpacking, feeling the wind in her face, watching the lightning display of a Norther rolling in, enjoying the intensity nature provides in all things, she never lost the innocence of a child, and reminded all who came to know her of the simple pleasures so often overlooked.
She was a precious spirit, whose bright flame burns on in her children. She is loved, and she is missed.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
