After 95 years of mirth and surrounded by her loving daughters, Mabel Taylor Day passed from this life April 21, 2006, in San Antonio, Texas. Mabel loved music, reading, feeding birds, and Mexican food.
A fifty-year member of Central Christian Church, Mabel lived a life of service through her volunteer work with Christian Assistance Ministry and Methodist Hospital.
Mabel was born September 10, 1910, in Dallas, Texas, to Katherine Jones and Fletcher Floyd Taylor. She graduated from Southern Methodist University in 1931 and in 1932 married Proctor Wilson Day.
Mabel was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sisters Mary Alice, Katherine, Doris, and Martha.
She is survived by her four daughters Joan, Nancy, Diane, and Sandra; her brother Fletcher Floyd Taylor, Jr., thirteen grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 11 great, great grandchildren, as well as devoted nieces, nephews and many friends.
