William K. Thompson, age 78, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born in Long Branch, New Jersey to his parents, William E. Thompson and Frances Marie Kehoe Thompson. He graduated from Marquette University and then earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from The University of Wisconsin at Madison. He served in the US Army, retired in San Antonio, and worked for Northrup Grumman. During his second retirement he volunteered with AARP preparing income tax returns free of charge, the COPS patrol, and traveled extensively with his wife all over the world.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ann Thompson, and his parents. Bill is survived by his daughters, Mary Thompson, and Amanda George; her husband Van and grandsons Trevor and Tanner; his brother Ed Thompson; and sister Paula Thompson, and his good friend Bud. He was a loving husband, a good father, and a kind and generous person.
