

Malcolm Fischer Sr, age 87, of San Antonio, died Thursday, November 7, 2002. He was a devoted husband for 64 years and enjoyed life to the fullest. He worked at the Post Office for 47 years in Special Delivery, upon retirement, the postmaster presented him his badge, #1, and the number was retired with him. He was a member of the Lutheran Church, member of Perfect Union # 10 AF & AM, 32nd Degree Scottish Rite, Alzafar Shrine Temple, Past Patron of Adah Chapter # 49, and Hermann Sons Lodge # 80 for 62 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Louise Fischer; brother, Melvin Fischer. Survived by wife, Adele Fischer; daughter, Judy Lynn Fischer; son, Malcolm C. Jr and wife, Ola; grandsons, Malcolm C. Fischer III and wife, Renee, Dean A. Fischer and wife, Beth, Brian K. Fischer and wife, Angie; great grandchildren, Amanda, Joshua, James, Austin, Kaitlin, Mason and Jackson. The family would like to thank the Staff at Patriot Heights Health Care Center and Vitas Hospice Team.The Rev. Don C. Ofsdahl officiating. Pallbearers: Dean Fischer, Brian Fischer, Malcolm C. Fischer III, Lawrence J. Busby, Bryan McKibbin and Joshua Fischer. Honorary Pallbearers will be Masonic Brothers. Interment in Mission Burial Park South with services under the auspices of Perfect Union #10. After the service family will be receiving guests at Helotes Lodge Hall, FM Road 1516.
