

Manuel A. Olivarez, of San Antonio, Texas went to be with our Lord March 16, 2022 at the age of 85. He was born in Jourdanton, Texas on March 27, 1936 to Carlos and Maria Olivarez. Manuel worked for Mosher Steel Company as a welder. He was a member of St. Timothy’s Choir, St. Peter the Fisherman’s Choir as well as The Knights of Columbus. He had a passion for music and enjoyed playing the accordion as well as performing. He is preceded in death by his first wife of 40 years, Amelia Olivarez; his second wife of 15 years, Janie Olivarez; parents, Carlos and Maria Olivarez; brothers, Henry Olivarez, Carlos Olivarez, Joe Olivarez, Jesse Olivarez; sisters, Inez Espinoza, Sista Rodriguez and Margarita Espinoza. He is survived by his daughters, Julia Hernandez (Ramon), Angie Medrano (Miguel); sons, Manuel Olivarez Jr. (Manuela), Ruben Olivarez (Dora); grandchildren, Connie Villarreal, Linda Espinoza, Raymond Hernandez Jr., Krystal Heard, Anthony Sanchez, Hector Mata III, April Garza, Manuel Olivarez III, Jessica Aldrich, Elisa Olivarez, Isabel Olivarez; 11 great grandchildren; sister, Minga Aguilar; brothers, Larry Olivarez, Rudy Olivarez and former wife Matilda Olivarez. Manuel will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
The Visitation will be held Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237 with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. The funeral procession will be departing at 10:15a.m. to attend holy mass that will be celebrated at 11a.m. at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, 1515 Saltillo St. 78207. Interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery No. II
