Manuel "Manny" Vasquez, born May 4th, 1975 has gone to be with the Lord at the age of 40 years old. Manny was a native of San Antonio, who most recently resided in Columbus, Mississippi. Manny served our country in the army for four years and earned numerous honors and medals while serving. Manny was an avid and successful businessman who worked hard for his family, building up a company specifically to provide for his three children. Regardless of his schedule, Manny always made time to be actively involved in all three of his children's (and even nephew's and niece's) lives, giving them his constant support and love; whether it was by attending ball games or recitals, taking them to practice, teaching the boys how to be handy around the house, sharpening his baking skills with the girls, or barbecuing for the whole family, he was always there. Manny was a God fearing man and taught his children to not only love the Lord but to fear His Almighty power as well. He would regularly host Bible studies to teach his children of God's word, most always telling of God's grace and mercy. Manny was a very humble and generous man and habitually donated to charities and helped those in need, he was loved by many, and was the true definition of a dedicated and hardworking family man.
He is survived by his mother, Mary "Mrs. Sanchez" Sanchez; his three children Alexia "Princess" Vasquez, Alec "Chops" Vasquez, and Christian "Kiken" Vasquez; his sisters Ventura Vasquez and Vanessa Pena; his brothers Aubrey Sanchez and Juan "JP3" Pena; his nephews Ayden "Manicorn" Zavala, Ethan Pena and AJ Pena; his nieces Araceli "Celi" Sanchez, Brooklynn "Brooks" Ledesma, Alyssa Pena, and Mary Grace "Tootsie Roll" Ledesma; sister-in-law Gracie Pena; and brother-in-law Michael "Ledo Shepherd" Ledesma. Manny is dearly missed, but his family is comforted knowing that he has truly gone to be with our Lord.
