

She was born on July 17, 1957 in Miami Florida and was raised in Hollywood Florida. She was the daughter of Regina and Calvin (Harry) Burford and granddaughter of Marcella Lord.
She attended McArthur High School and graduated class of 1975. She received her Associates Degree in business management at St. Phillips College in 1989. She then continued her education receiving her Bachelors Degree in Business Management and minor in Psychology earning her second degree in 1998. Straight after high school she joined the Air Force where she was in the Air Force reserves and also active duty. As well as a contract Specialist as a civil servant. She retired from the Air Force Reserves in 2005 and fully retired by 2014 after 35 years of service.
She’ll be remembered for many things, but one thing that stands out is how loving and caring she was. Not only to family and friends, but to anyone she came in contact with. She love to give back by helping the less fortunate by giving donations and volunteering. She loved to travel, art, and she loved music and animals, her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Kristi and Yaser Haifa, grandchildren Jacob, Jalil, Sophia Haifa, her brother Albert Burford as well as many close friends and her beloved pets. Her turtles and puppies.
She is preceded by her mother, father, and grandmother.
