Margaret Jean Butler

Margaret Jean Butler was born on June 13, 1919 in Mishawaka, Indiana and passed away on April 3, 2012. She came to San Antonio in 1938 to attend Santa Rosa Nursing School and this is where she and her husband Keith made their home and raised their children. After serving as a nurse in The United States Army during World War II, Margaret continued her career and retired from Harlandale Independent School District as a school nurse. She is preceded in death by her husband, Keith Butler. She is survived by her son, Gary Butler and wife Sherry from Spring, Texas, and daughter Bette Barnett and husband Philip. She is also survived by grandchildren Brian Butler and wife Gretchen from Houston, Texas, Chad Butler and wife Kim from Pearland, Texas, Allison Barnett Sedlak and husband Michael, Lisa Barnett Johnson and husband Brad, and Clayton Barnett and wife Tara. Margaret also leaves behind seven great-grandchildren. There will be a family Graveside Service at a later date at Sunset Memorial Park. Condolences may be offered at www.sunsetfuneralhomesa.com.
