Loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Margaret W. Cates, age 87, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2011. She was the daughter of Swedish immigrants, David and Anna Emilia Olsson Westberg, born on March 6, 1923 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
In 1941, Margaret graduated from Miami High School and in October of the same year, married her beloved husband of 65 years, Cecil H. Cates, Jr. who preceded her in death.
She is survived by their sons: Paul Scott Cates; Peter Lisle Cates and wife, Susan; Mark Wayne Cates and wife, Melanie; grandchildren: Benjamin, Anna, Michael, Kimberly and Kristin; five great-grandchildren and countless other lives she touched throughout her life.
