Margaret Bonham Dietert entered our Father's Kingdom on Sunday, January 2, 2011. She was born July 24, 1931 in Henrietta, OK to Enos Albert Bonham and Ethel Eversole Bonham, who preceded her in death.
She was a direct descendant of James Bonham, one of the Heroes of the Alamo. Additionally, she was most proud of being a member of one of the pioneering Texas families.
She was an elementary school teacher in SAISD, where she was instrumental in beginning the Gifted and Talented Program. Margaret was a member of the Coker United Methodist Church.
Margaret is also preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Lee Bonham.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry M. Dietert; daughters, Cheryl Dietert and husband, Phil Head; Holly Dietert Edwards and husband, Mark Edwards; three grandchildren, Ben Edwards, Katie Edwards and Kim Head; brother, Enos "Sonny" Bonham, Jr. and wife, Elaine; nieces, Tracie, Vickie, Kaye, Gaye and their husbands and children.
