Margaret Meza Gonzalez

Margaret Meza Gonzalez, lovingly known as a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, was born on March 8, 1949, in Uvalde, Texas, to Yolanda Navarro Arredondo and Julian Arredondo. She entered into eternal rest on January 15, 2026, surrounded by the love she so freely gave throughout her life.

Margaret dedicated 40 years of her life to serving children and families as the owner and director of Learning Time Daycare. Her passion for nurturing young minds and her commitment to her community left a lasting impact on countless families who were blessed to know her.

Margaret found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved going to the flea market, fishing, camping, dancing, singing karaoke, and spending time with her family. She especially cherished trips to the coast. Family was everything to Margaret, and she poured her heart into every moment spent with her loved ones.

She is reunited in heaven with her mother, Yolanda Navarro Arredondo; her father, Julian Arredondo; and her brother, Oscar Flores.

Margaret is survived by the father of her children, Leroy Lucio Gonzalez; her children, Lucio Gonzalez and his spouse Linda Gonzalez, Leonard Gonzalez, and Rick Flores and his spouse Sarah Flores; and her cherished grandchildren, Jacob, Hunter, Alyssa, Hailee, Farrah, Freya, Frida, and Alarick.

Margaret’s legacy is one of love, dedication, and unwavering devotion to her family and community. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, located at 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, Texas 78237, on January 26, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A Chapel Service will follow at the same location at 11:00 a.m.

Following the Chapel Service, a Processional will depart from the funeral home. The procession will include a pass by Margaret’s business, Learning Time Daycare, and will then continue to San Fernando Cemetery No. 2, located at 746 Castroville Road, San Antonio, Texas 78237, where Burial services will take place.
