She was the lone survivor of her generation. She retired from Southern Pacific Railroad in 1978, after 36 years as a clerk. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the United Transportation Union, St. Patrick Catholic Church Altar Society, Business and Professional Women, and St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, two sisters and a niece.
Survivors are nieces, Kerry Joe Macaitis, Janice Charles Brooks of San Antonio; and nephew, Ray Diana Jones of Dale, TX. Also surviving are three grandnieces, two grandnephews, two great-grandnieces and two great-grandnephews.
