Blanca Margie Canales, 81, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2025, in her home surrounded by the love that she so freely gave to others. Born on January 17, 1944, Margie lived a life filled with care, generosity, and devotion to her family.
Margie was a mother to William and Jacob Canales. A grandma to Jaclyn, Jaylyn, Josh, Anais, and Julio. She was the sister of Rose Semersky and aunt to many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. She was a mother-in-law to Sonia and Gloria Canales. She was a friend to all that she crossed paths with.
Her time was spent caring for her children, her nieces and nephews, practicing and passing on her faith, and praying for everyone daily. In her younger years, she enjoyed going out with her husband, Domingo Canales. In her elderly years, she enjoyed watching the Spurs games and seeing her grandkids grow. Her love of animals, always with a pet by her side, showed the type of caring person she was. She will be remembered for her kindness and faith. She lived fully, loved deeply, and inspired everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her light continues to shine through her family and the many lives she touched. She treasured and adored anything that was given to her, from sweets, letters, flowers, to clothing and jewelry. Just the act that someone remembered her brought joy to her heart. The lord has called her home to be with her heavenly family. Margie will be missed but not forgotten.
