Margie Rae Ruble

Margie Rae Springer Ruble went to be with her Lord and Savior at 10:15 am Saturday, July 14 at the age of 88 years. Margie passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus with her family at her side. She is now on “God’s Beach” as she referred to it as she loved the ocean. Margie graduated from Burbank High School where she was a member of the Honor Society and a member of the original Orange Jackets pep squad. Margie was a member of the San Antonio Police Wives Auxiliary and Hunters Creek Garden Club.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents George and Ethel Springer, and her sister Frances Springer. She is survived by her husband of 70 years Charles Hugh Ruble; daughter, Patricia Ruble-Eggleston (Stephen); son, Charles Ray Ruble (Carolyn); grandson, Justin N. Kobold; granddaughter, Alicia Mary Eggleston; grandson, Chris Ruble (Stephanie); granddaughter, Noelle Bragg (Mike); sister-in-law, Jo Ann Ruble Miller; several great grand children and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Margie dedicated her life as a mother, wife, grandmother and friend. She loved God and her family and friends. Margie will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. She was truly an Earth Angel who is now a Heavenly Angel. Thank you to all who knew her, loved her and were a part of her life. A special thank you to all staff at Arden Courts, Heartland Hospice and her special friends Dr. Scott Ulmer and staff.

In lieu of flowers, Margie would want donations sent to the Animal Defense League of San Antonio, 11300 Nacogdoches Rd., SATX 78217.

Visitation will be 6-8:00 pm on Sunday, July 22, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, July 23, 2012 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
