Born on August 22,1939 in Mexico City, Rosario "Yaya" was a nurturing soul whose love knew no bounds. She dedicated her life to her family, providing unwavering support and care. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and open arms for anyone who needed comfort. Rosario "Yaya" is survived by her children: Angel Garcia (Kristy Garcia), Rosario Matulewicz (Anthony Matulewicz), Lucia Garcia (Jorge Garcia), and Araceli Thompson (Doug Thompson). She was a proud grandmother to 11 grandchildren and delighted in the joy brought by her five great-grandchildren. Her family was her world, and she took immense pride in watching them grow, always offering her encouragement and unconditional love.
Her legacy extends beyond her family, as she was a friend to many. She will be remembered for her kindness, her resilience, and the selfless love she gave so freely to everyone she encountered.
A celebration of her life will be held at 10:30 AM on February 15, 2025, at St. Mark The Evangelist Catholic Church, 1602 Thousand Oaks Drive San Antonio, Texas 78232. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to all those who have shown support during this difficult time.
