Maria Teresa Magallanes Noriega

Maria Teresa Magallanes Noriega, born on March 19, 1959, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2025. Maria was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend who brought joy and warmth to those around her.

Maria had a zest for life that shone through in her favorite pastimes—playing bingo, visiting casinos, and tending to her beloved garden. Whether sharing laughter with family or enjoying the simple pleasures of her garden, Maria’s spirit was one of love and resilience. Her cherished bird, Rio, was always by her side, bringing her comfort and companionship.

She was preceded in death by her father, Cruz Noriega; her grandmother, Esperanza Cisneros; her niece and goddaughter, Priscilla Noriega; her nephew, Jorge Noriega; her aunt, Lala; and her mother-in-law, Enriqueta Magallanes.

Left to honor her memory are her loving husband, David Magallanes; her five devoted children; 20 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and her caring mother, Teresa Cisneros Noriega. Maria is also survived by her daughter-in-law, five brothers, four sisters, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, countless friends, and her loyal companion, Rio.

Maria’s legacy of love, laughter, and family will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those she touched.

María tenía un entusiasmo por la vida que se reflejaba en sus pasatiempos favoritos: jugar al bingo, visitar casinos y cuidar su querido jardín. Ya sea compartiendo risas con la familia o disfrutando de los sencillos placeres de su jardín, su espíritu era de amor y resiliencia. Su querido pájaro, Río, siempre estuvo a su lado, brindándole consuelo y compañía.Le precedieron en la muerte su padre, Cruz Noriega; su abuela, Esperanza Cisneros; su sobrina y ahijada, Priscilla Noriega; su sobrino, Jorge Noriega; su tía, Lala; y su suegra, Enriqueta Magallanes.

Para honrar su memoria, le sobreviven su amado esposo, David Magallanes; sus cinco devotos hijos; 20 nietos; cuatro bisnietos; y su cariñosa madre, Teresa Cisneros Noriega. A María también le sobreviven su nuera, cinco hermanos, cuatro hermanas, numerosos sobrinos, sobrinas, primos, innumerables amigos y su fiel compañero, Río.

El legado de amor, alegría y familia de María seguirá inspirando a todos quienes la conocieron. La extrañaremos profundamente, pero siempre la recordarán en los corazones de quienes la rodearon.
