Maria Dougan Ray died peacefully on November 17, 2015. She was born in Trieste, Italy on February 14, 1928. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Halbert Ray; her parents Giovanni and Amalia Dougan and her brother Giovanni II. She is survived by her son Albert, his wife Paula, two grandchildren Susan and Jimmy, and two great-grandchildren Aundre Jenkins and Antuan Williams, her brother Antonio and his wife and three nieces, Silvia, Sonia, and Sara.
Visitation will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 23, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will take place at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Normandy Terrace for their care and Harbor Hospice for their support. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to an Alzheimer's organization.
