Marilyn Marlene Happner

Marilyn Marlene Happner, age 59, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas. Marilyn was born in Mathis, Texas on August 7, 1963, and raised in Orange Grove, Tx. She was preceded in death by her parents, Phyllis Franke Stech and Melvin Stech; and brother, David Stech. Marilyn is survived by her brother, Clifford Stech (Judy); sister Wannetta Cox (Carl); and her two cherished daughters, Heather Tschoepe (Clint), and Rochelle Gould (Trey) and her dad, Michael Rhyne; two grandchildren, Kiah Tschoepe and Jase Tschoepe; nephews; Shawn (Sarah), Tim (Susana), and Brent; and niece Lori.

As a mother she was generous, caring, loving, and encouraging. Marilyn was so very proud of both her daughter’s accomplishments. She loved her horses and dogs (Molly, Charlotte, Stella, Hazel, and Luna) and cats. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, hanging out in the pool, relaxing, and listening to music, visiting Lagarto, and growing her relationship with God.

“We know that we cannot have you here physically, but we’re happy knowing that the angels have finally got you back and you will watch over us daily. Goodbye to a wonderful woman, a beautiful mother and a cherished Nana.”

A memorial service will be held and announced at a later date in the near future.
