
Marilyn Marie Reasner, 58, passed away on May 10, 2014 in San Antonio, TX. She was born Marilyn Marie McConnell on August 3, 1955 in Lansing, MI to Chester and Cereda Keeney McConnell. Marilyn grew up in Lansing, MI. She graduated from Grand Ledge Seventh-Day Adventist Academy in 1973 and went on to earn her nursing degree at Andrews University. While at Andrews University, she met Charles A. Reasner, II and they married on December 19, 1976. Marilyn and Charles moved to Loma Linda, CA, where she worked as an RN in the University hospital, while Charles attended medical school. In 1981, Marilyn gave birth to their first child, Cynthia Lynn and became a full-time mother. In 1983, a son, Charles A. Reasner, III followed. The family moved between San Antonio, TX and Biloxi, MS, following Charles' Air Force career, before putting down firm roots in San Antonio in their home of the last 21 years.
Marilyn is survived by her husband Charles, her daughter Cynthia (Widitora), her son Charles, her mother Cereda, her sister Lillian (Johnston), several nieces and nephews, many extended family members and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her father Chester McConnell.
The family will have a private gathering in celebration of her life on May 15, 2014 at Porter Loring.
