Marilyn Lois Spence, age 86 died peacefully on Friday, December 24, 2010. She was born June 27, 1924 in Chicago, IL to the late Roy and Ruth Harrington Decker.
Marilyn joins, in Heaven, her parents and brothers, Norman Decker Gladys and Roger Decker.
Marilyn is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Thomas Ramey Spence and her children, Carol Barton Clyde, Bobbie Anderson Eddie, Bill Spence Gayle, Becky Howey Mike, and Patty Colvard Mike; grandchildren, Marcella Cortez, Monica Hunt, Kimberly Marrin, Eddie Anderson, Bret Spence, Katy Spence, Lauren Howey Spencer Howey, Aubrey Colvard, Caity Colvard, Hayley Colvard and Mac Colvard; ten great grandchildren; brother, Robert Decker Annette; sister-in-law, Marion Decker and lifelong family friend, Genie Edgar.
The family would like to thank the nurses at Emeritus for their loving care.
Visitation will be on Monday, January 3, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Porter Loring.
