Marge loved her family with all her heart and was blessed to be healthy enough to enjoy her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren until very recently. She enjoyed her sports too, but baseball was her favorite. She was a big fan of the Baltimore Orioles, the Houston Astros and really “anybody but the Yankees!” She had many great friends and a large extended family who all cherished her. In her career she was a teaching assistant for disabled children, and after retirement she ran her own antique business for several years. She was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church in Clinton, MD for over 50 years and stayed connected with the church and her church friends after she moved to Texas to be with her family in 2015. She had a life filled with love and joy. She will be missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Florence and William Maclay; her husband, Thomas V. Travis; her brother, William Maclay; and her sister, Patricia Elliott. Marjorie is survived by her children, Thomas Travis (Sally), John Travis (Amy), and Alecia Travis; her daughter-in-law, Debbie Travis; her grandchildren, Anna Miller (Clayton), Daniel Travis, Luke Travis (Stephanie), Joseph Travis, and Andrew Travis; and her great-grandchildren, Madison Miller, Taylor Miller, James Travis and Emma Travis.
The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 7:00pm, Sunday, October 6, 2024, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
