

Mark Duane Cogburn, 64, of Canyon Lake, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday January 23, 2025, after a valiant 4-year fight against cancer. Mark was born in San Antonio Texas, to Patricia Brady and Jack Cogburn on September 24,1960. He was a graduate of Smithson Valley High School class of 1979. It was there that he met and later married his wife Robin (Clamp) on August 5, 2003.
Mark was self-employed in construction and remodeling and specialized in painting and dry-wall installation. Mark was passionate about his relationship with Jesus Christ and was an active member and partner of Warrior Notes Fellowship/Church. Mark served by ministering food to the homeless in Garcia Park in San Antonio.
Starting as a youth and in high school, Mark developed a deep love for athletics, which he continued by playing adult softball. His passion for sports remained strong throughout his life. Mark loved directing and playing in numerous fantasy sport leagues over the years. He shared and enjoyed these passions with his wife Robin, as well as his family and many close friends.
Mark is survived by his wife Robin; step daughters Sydnee Hewlett, Dannielle Palmer and husband Kyle; grandchild Madilyn; Mother Patricia Brady and Sonny; brother Phil, step sister Virginia Haddock, step brothers James and Michael Cogburn; nephew Corey Cogburn and wife Jen, children Blake and Brady; Niece Katie Weikel and husband Kevin; Nephews Brandon Cogburn and wife Tracey, Matthew and Tyler Haddock; along with many close friends and extended family.
Mark was preceded in death by his father Jack Cogburn, sister Terri Cogburn and brother Tim Greenwood.
A Memorial Service for Mark will be held at 11:00 Sunday February 16, 2025 at Sunset Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Hwy, San Antonio, Texas. Viewing at 10:30, Service at 11:00 followed immediately by a reception. Burial at 2:30pm.
