He was born in Houston, TX, September 11, 1956 to Donald (deceased) and Joan Ross. Mark graduated from Churchill HS and UTSA with a Marketing degree. He worked at Columbia, his own home inspection business, and real estate, but found his life's work when he became a teacher.
He was a Teaching Assistant at CT Johnson High School in NEISD with an emphasis on special education; he loved "his kids." Mark was honored to be a member of the Deaf community in San Antonio, participating and supporting many activities within it, such as ASL chat groups and bowling league. He was a life-long learner, voracious reader, loved music of all kinds. He had a gentle spirit and a servant's heart.
He is survived by his wife, Cristina Ross; beloved daughter Katya; mother Joan Ross and step-father Pat Goth; sister Cyndi (Mike Witkin); brother Steve (Julie); step-siblings Joan Goth and Tom Goth; niece Emilie and nephews Daniel and Allen.
Special thanks to cousins Darian Howarth and Sherril West and their families for their unwavering support and love.
Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 17, at 3 p.m., St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 315 E. Pecan St., San Antonio, TX.
