

Corporal Marshall Adam Denney IV, USMC, age 26, passed away peacefully in his sleep on 18 March 2012. He faithfully served his God, Country and Corps. He was married to the love of his life, Senior Airman Molly Denney, USAF, stationed at Hickam Field, Hawaii. Marshall served in the Marine Corps from 2004-2009 and was a combat veteran of Iraq. Following his honorable discharge in 2009, he served in the reserves until 2011. Marshall then worked as a defense contractor at Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Agency, located at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, Texas. Having followed Molly to Hawaii, he continued his work as a defense contractor in support of the Defense Information Support Agency-Pacific. Marshall was born February 21, 1986, in Richmond, Kentucky. The son of a Marine family, he lived in various cities and states before graduating from New Bern High School, New Bern, North Carolina in 2004. Marshall enjoyed sports, computers, video games, and Civil War history. In addition to his loving wife, Molly, he leaves behind his parents Colonel Marshall and Renessa Denney III, USMC; Colonel Jay and Kim Matos, USMC; his siblings Trevor Denney, Kaleigh Denney, Jadyn Denney, Cole Matos and Tori Matos; his grandparents Marshall II and Lynn Denney, Marlan and Colin St Croix, George and Barbara Turner; his in-laws Shawn Heston and Monty Heston. Marshall also leaves many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins. A Memorial Service was held at Nelles Chapel, Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii on March 24, 2012. Visitation in San Antonio will be at 5:00PM on 29 March 2012 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home NW, 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, TX 78238; full Catholic Mass with Military Honors will be at 10:30AM on Friday, March 30, 2012, at St. Mary Anthony Mary Claret Catholic Church, 6150 Roft Road, San Antonio, TX 78253. He was a member of the Forsaken Guns Motorcycle Club, Nomad Chapter--an organization known for their military and community support. Given his military service and tireless work with the Wounded Warrior Project, the family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made in the memory of Marshall A.
