
Mrs. Biggs was a long-time member of St. David's Episcopal Church and Daughters of the King, a Charter Member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter in Tokyo, Japan, Nekodah Temple of the Daughters of the Nile, and the Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America Altrui Court No. 89. She was also a charter member of the Golden Eagles Club.
Martha was involved with the Bexar County Republican Party, working for most of the elections helping the Candidates.
After a successful career at USAA, she started the "Christmas Year Around Shop".
Martha's family extends their heartfelt thanks to Patty Bliss, RN, Marjorie Erp and Garrett Bridges of Amedd Hospice for their support.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Maj. Lawrence W. Biggs, USA, Ret. and her son, Gary.
Survivors: daughters, Goldie Burns-Hand and Marsha Van Duyn and husband, Lee; grandchildren, CPO Larry Burns and wife, Lisa, Holly Biggs and Austin Van Duyn; great grandchildren, McKenna and Donovan; special son, Billy Harris; sister-in-law, Lois Howells; and 2 nieces, Kristine Lebbos and Nancy Short and husband, Beau, and their families.
Martha was dearly loved and respected by her family and friends and will be deeply missed.
