

She was born in Farmington, New Mexico on June 18th,1954 to the late Jack and Bettie Cooper. Martha graduated from Alamo Heights High School. After high school, she travelled to Sevilla, Spain where she worked and lived for 25yrs, there she married Juan Carlos Pretel, Father of Martha and Maria.
She was a member of the Battle of Flowers Foundation and a Daughter of the Republic of Texas. She loved spending time with her daughters and grandson, helping others and reading history books.
She is survived by her children Martha Elizabeth Barron and Maria Esther Escobedo, grandson Charles Cooper Barron, sister Betsy D’Amato and husband William; Son in laws Edward Barron and Victor Escobedo. She is preceded in death by her parents Jack and Bettie Cooper and brother Marshall Daniel Cooper.
A church service will be held on Friday, January 21st,2022 at 10:00 am at San Fernando Cathedral on 115 Main Plaza, San Antonio, TX. Following the service, there will be a burial ceremony at Sunset Memorial Park on 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX. A reception will follow at Old San Francisco Steakhouse on 10223 Sahara, San Antonio, TX.
