Martina M. Ortiz

Daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandma, and great-grandmother — a woman who loved well and was well-loved; Martina M. Ortiz passed away peacefully August 17, 2023, surrounded by loved one at the age of 89.

Martina M. Ortiz was born May6, 1934 to Martin Medina and Maria Contreras in New Braunfels, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her loving husband of over 34 years, Raul Ortiz.

She is survived by many loved ones. Two siblings. Three children and their spouse Robert Medina, Raul Ortiz, Suzie Silva, and Christine Ortiz. Nine grandchildren and their spouse Katie Carbajal, Manuel Carbajal, Geno Medina, Belinda Medina, Santino Medina, Ambrosia Marquez, Chris Marquez, Henry Ortiz, Catherine Arcos, Selena Bosquez, John Bosquez, Zacry Ortiz, Jessalynn Ortiz, Abigail Ortiz, and Xavier Lopez. Nineteen great-grandchildren Enzo Medina, Bella Medina, Kiya Carbajal, Lexi Carbajal, Isaiah Romero, Issac Romero, Serenity Romero, Penelope Lopez, Noelia Lopez, Breeden Ortiz, Kayden Ortiz, Kayla Cruz, Juan Cruz, Rosa Hernandez, Katalina Hernandez, Rakim Hernandez, Jose Hernandez, Araceli Bosquez, and Baby Bosquez on the way. Martina loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with them all.

A rosary and visitation will be held at Trevino Funeral Home on August 24, 2023, from 5:00 PM-9:00 PM. It will be followed by a burial service on August 25, 2023 at 12:00 PM.
