

Mary Anna (English) Boggs was born in Wichita Falls, Texas, on November 7th, 1943, to William Glen and Juanita Rowena (Hathcock) English. She attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and received her LPN at Meridian Technology Center in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She worked as a nurse at the Pawhuska Medical Clinic and the Pawhuska Hospital and as a case worker at the Child Support Division of Oklahoma DHS. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church and a volunteer at the Soup Kitchen at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, both of Pawhuska.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, an avid gardener, an inventive cook, and an artistic, warm hostess and homemaker. She loved entertaining, music, dancing, and became a great fan of bluegrass music, especially the Kruger Brothers, whom she discovered and befriended through the Guthrie International Music Festival. Mary Ann and her husband, John, retired to San Antonio, Texas, in 2010 and enjoyed living near their family. She was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in San Antonio.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Carla, and is survived by her brother, Glen, her husband, John, three children (Dan, Trey (Susan), and Elizabeth), three stepchildren (Camille (Randy), Blythe, and Lacey), six grandchildren (Danielle (Chris), Colin (Gudrun), Grant, Daniel, Gabriella, and Faith), five step grandchildren (Brett, Connor, Caleb, Dylan, Ashlyn), and four great grandchildren (Noah, Jax, Klara, and Cooper).
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Adante Memory Care in San Antonio for their loving care of Mary Ann these past three years. Donations can be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association or to St. Mark's Episcopal Church, San Antonio. A service will be held at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in San Antonio at a date to be determined.
