Mary Katherine Burkholder

Mary Katherine Burkholder went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 1, 2013. She was born in San Antonio, TX on April 27, 1988. After attending Antonian High School, she went on to pursue a degree in Health Promotion and Fitness at The University of Texas at Austin. While in Austin, she was a member of the Omega Chapter of Alpha Phi and attended The Austin Stone Community Church. Her experience as an organ recipient inspired her to devote her energies to furthering the cause of organ donation. Mary loved her family, especially her nieces and nephews, and treasured her wonderful community of friends. She is survived by her devoted parents, Joseph Burkholder and Susan Morkovsky Burkholder of San Antonio, TX, her brother Jacob Burkholder and his wife Kirsten, her sister Amy Burkholder, her brother Kyle Burkholder and his wife Stefani, her nephew and five nieces, her maternal grandparents Robert and Virginia Morkovsky of San Antonio, TX, her paternal grandparents Dennis and Alyce Burkholder of San Antonio, TX, and her many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Mary lived life to the fullest spending her time with her dog, Abel, and cheering for her beloved Texas Longhorns.
